Transactive response (TAR) DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) is a major protein component
within ubiquitin-positive inclusions of frontotemporal lobar degeneration and amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis. Although TDP-43 is a nuclear DNA/RNA-binding protein, in pathological
