Background & Aims PTEN is a dual lipid/protein phosphatase, downregulated in steatotic
livers with obesity or HCV infection. Liver-specific PTEN knockout (LPTEN KO) mice develop
steatosis, inflammation/fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma with aging, but surprisingly
