α 1-Adrenergic receptors (ARs) belong to the large Class IG protein-coupled receptor
superfamily and comprise three subtypes (α 1A, α 1B, and α 1D). Previous work with
heterologously expressed C-terminal green fluorescent protein (GFP)-tagged α 1-ARs
showed that α 1A-and α 1B-ARs localize to the plasma membrane, whereas α 1D-ARs
