DISCUSSION Intravascular lymphoma is a difficult and often fatal diagnosis that may be
missed easily because it often presents with nonspecific systemic symptoms and no
evidence of focal disease. Although there is intravascular proliferation of monoclonal B-and,
rarely, T-cell lymphocytes (2, 3), the peripheral blood and bone marrow may be spared. The
disseminated vascular involvement most commonly affects the nervous system and skin.
