The pancreatitis-associated protein I (PAP I) is a pancreatic secretory protein expressed in
pancreas during acute pancreatitis but not in the healthy pancreas. The promoter of the PAP
I gene thus represents a potential candidate to drive expression of therapeutic molecules to
